Watching the stars with absinth and love in my heart
Every time I listen to The Smiths I think about that summer when you taught me how to drink absinth and we ran to the park in the middle of the night to watch the stars from the dew soaked grass at the top of the hill. You cannot know how much that all meant to me. I know that as long as you and I are a thousand miles away (not to mention three years) that we have to get on with things and find other people to be with but I can’t get you out of my mind. I think if I had to listen to these songs on vinyl that I would’ve worn out the grooves and been left in silence. Heaven knows I’m miserable now, as a wise man once said.
