Women everywhere are embracing weights. With strength training for women growing in popularity at gyms everywhere and at homes around the country, there are a few tips to keep in mind. You want to align your body properly when you’re doing strength training. If you are standing, the knees should be slightly bent and your feet should be shoulder width apart. Move slowly and controlled. While it’s almost natural to hold your breath, don’t! Inhale as you lift, exhale as you release the weight. While you do want to push yourself, do not lift anything that is so heavy it can’t be lifted at least 8 times in a set.
