I have seen a great idea – childrens laptops are the best educational toy on the market in my opinion. Starting at age 1 or two they are just a laptop shaped toy which makes some fun sounds, but as the kids get older they get really educational. The price goes up with the complexity obviously, but even the expensive ones for older kids are quite reasonable. I’ve bought one for our girls who are five and six, so they will be ahead of all their class mates when they meet real computers at school. I think it’s important to prepare them as best we can as parents.
