Collar Your Cat For Safety

Having your cat wear a cat collar is not only a fashion statement or something trendy that you and your cat must jump into.  A cat collar is also an important safety device.  Let’s face it. Our tabby friends are very adventurous.  They love exploring nooks and crannies, walk and even run in very fast strides and unlike dogs, they have the ability to climb up tall walls and fences.  So, the chances of them getting lost when they are exploring the outdoors are actually quite high, especially if they are in an unfamiliar place.

Scenarios such as these are not actually that rare, so collars with ID tags attached to cats make perfect sense.  What most owners commit when buying collars is that they actually attach the ID tags to the collars, which cats eventually scratch off or pull out.  It would actually be best to buy a good-fitting collar and write the details of your vet on the collar fabric (clinic address and phone), so that whoever can locate your cat when it goes missing can call the number of your vet or contact the local vet clinic.
