He Does it For Fun
It used to be like pulling teeth to get my son to practice his guitar scales. I kept telling him that he would never be a good player if he didn’t do it, but still he whined about how boring it was. I tried to encourage him, but deep down I couldn’t blame him. After all, who wants to play the same boring sequence over and over again? It seems purposeless, and it isn’t real music. But then I found a program that just lit up the whole process and made it enjoyable. Now he not only practices scales, but he does it for fun.
