What to do if you want a career in music
If you want a carreer in music then congratulations! You have every chance of making it really work, as there are so many possiblities for you. You may play in a professional band or orchestra, something like a state orchestra or military service band. These bands pay carreer rates to their musicians. Other options include freelancing for Pop and Rock bands – once you’re a good musician you’ll find it easy to get work, as people will know you and call you regularly for gigs. Of course one of the best ways to get by in the meantime is to get involved in Music Education – it really helps along the way and you can inspire others to be involved in music at the same time.
